Thomas Jefferson on the dangers of big, federal government:
"I consider the foundation of the Constitution as laid on this ground: that “all powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states or to the people.”…To take a single step beyond the boundaries thus specially drawn around the powers of Congress is to take possession of a boundless field of power, no longer susceptible of any definition."*
Jefferson said there was a reason we have States and not just administrative districts...
"Our country is too large to have all its affairs directed by a single [federal] government. Public servants at such a distance, and from under the eye of their constituents, must, from the circumstance of distance, be unable to administer and overlook all the details necessary for the good government of the citizens and...will invite the public agents to corruption, plunder, and waste."**
Obama Care is a major leap into the very pit Jefferson warned of. It has nothing to do with health and all to do with "corruption, plunder, and waste." Just look at the sweetheart deals needed to sell the Dems on it. Even their own party had to be bought off.

mycomputerfun.com Unauthorized Credit Card Charges!
I got a mystery charge on my Master Card in February 2010 from mycomputerfun.com and I've never, ever heard of, emailed, phoned, or otherwise transacted with this company or anyone in it.
They simply got my Card number and dinged it for just under $5. Total identity theft! I filed a fraud complaint with my card company and with IC3 (the Feds).
Stay away from any dealings with mycomputerfun.com If you Google them you see many complaints over the past six months that are similar.

Forced Health Insurance Not Like Auto Insurance
Is health care insurance like auto insurance? Not at all!
1. You choose to operate a motor vehicle on a public thoroughfare. Because it's public, they have the right to regulate traffic, require licensing, etc. (But you can operate a vehicle on a private farm, for instance without a license or insurance).
2. The auto insurance is almost always only some form of liability insurance that covers damage you may do to others. That's what PIP is. To my knowledge no state requires you to carry collision insurance on your own vehicle! That's a closer equivalent to Obama Care.
3. The Obama Care health insurance policy you are now required to buy operates in the passive. Unlike income tax, social security tax, or auto insurance, even if you do nothing you still have to purchase it.

The Commerce Clause & The Run Away Congress
The so-called Commerce Clause of the US Constitution simply states:
That's it. Nothing about forcing individual American citizens to purchase a product such as health care insurance. The Democrats' bill is unprecedented in US History. It is a massive expansion of central power in the government.
Notice above it only gives Congress power to regulate commerce "with" foreign nations, and "among," meaning between, the States, and "with" Indian tribes.
In the pre-constitution years some States had put up tariffs so that any products going from one state to another across a boarder were charged an import or export fee. This clogged traded and is a major reason the commerce clause is in the Constitution. Now see how the "Rules? We make the rules!" Democrats in Congress have now expand this beyond recognition to, for the first time ever, force American citizens to purchase a product simply because they exist!

Health Insurance Coverage a "Good" Not a "Right"
The Constitution's "Bill of Rights" forbids the government from infringing on intrinsic personal rights that are "endowed by their Creator" as Jefferson phrased it in the Declaration. You have those rights already. The government does not grant them to you.
They include the freedom of speech, of religion, and others.
But "rights" are not the same as "goods." There are many "good" things in life that people can aspire to: a high school diploma, a college education, owning a really cool guitar rig. But these are not "rights." They are "goods."
Obtaining insurance coverage against risk is also a "good." It is something you purchase, or choose not to purchase. That choice is your "right," not the insurance coverage.
By the way, all Americans already have health care--free if they need it.
