Sarkozy Claims Governments Only "Legitimate" Representatives of the Will of People

In the G-8's recent attempt to "regulate" the Internet, the global power brokers of course led with "we're only trying to protect the children, blah, blah, blah."

Sarkozy compared its [The Internet] impact to that of two previous transforming episodes in global history: the age of exploration and the industrial revolution.

Before an audience that included top executives of some of the world’s largest Internet companies, including Google, Facebook, Amazon and eBay, he added, however: “The universe you represent is not a parallel universe. Nobody should forget that governments are the only legitimate representatives of the will of the people in our democracies. To forget this is to risk democratic chaos and anarchy.”

Excuse me Mr. Sarkozy but government is most definitely NOT the only legitimate representative of the will of the people! At least in the USA. Far from it! Our constitution goes out of its way to say that the people have a right and duty to:
*express their own will in all forms of speech and writing (including blogs)
*form their own associations freely
*do business freely
*form companies and corporations freely
*lobby
*protest
*form non-profit and for profit organizations of all types and may individually and collectively express their will that way.

Government in the US was envisioned as only one of many avenues of expression of the people's will.

Sarkozy and the G-8 government types are like the lords and barrons who burned printing presses 500 years ago. Now they want to remind you that "only government" knows best!

So, just go to sleep little blogger, go to sleep and Big Daddy Government will represent you. Right Mr. Obama?

Google Crams Gay Ads Down Hulu Viewers Throats: Chrome the Gay Browser

When you log on to watch a Hulu video now you are assaulted by a 90 second pro gay lifestyle info-mercial that is supposedly a Google Chrome browser commercial.

The sickening commercial features a bunch of gay guys cozying up and talking about how awful it is with all the bullying out there. Apparently mommy isn't around to help. But Google Chrome, the Gay Browser, comes to the rescue.

What in the world does all that crap have to do with a web browser? Are pedophiles next to hawk the Android OS?

I decided to navigate away from Hulu and will go to other sites instead.
